Collaborative for Children is proud to introduce the Early Learning Quality Network (ELQN) Technology Initiative, a transformative program designed to support 25 child care centers across key Houston zip codes. This initiative provides technology upgrades, training workshops, and coaching for child care owners, directors, and teachers and aimed at improving the quality of early childhood education.
The program kicks off with an informational session on August 20, 2025, from 12:30–1:30 PM, where participants will learn how to enhance their child care programs through ELQN.

Through ELQN, selected centers will receive modern tech tools that support STEAM learning, classroom management, and family engagement. These upgrades help educators create interactive, engaging environments that prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
Child care directors and teachers will benefit from personalized coaching that focuses on leadership development, responsive caregiving, and instructional quality. Collaborative for Children’s expert coaches work side-by-side with educators to implement best practices and build sustainable, high-performing programs.
ELQN includes hands-on training workshops that cover topics like:
– Emotional regulation and neuroscience in early learning
– STEAM curriculum integration
– Trauma-informed care
– Business sustainability for child care centers
These workshops are designed to be practical, engaging, and immediately applicable in the classroom.
The initiative focuses on 25 child care centers located in underserved Houston zip codes, including:
77033, 77021, 77047, 77051, 77048, 77091, 77022, 77009, 77076, 77060, 77032, 77039, and 77037.
By concentrating resources in these areas, Collaborative for Children aims to close gaps in access to high-quality early education and ensure every child has a strong start.
