Each Collab Care Kit contains 15–20 thoughtfully selected items that promote mental wellness, motivation, and classroom organization. From stress-reducing tools to inspirational décor, these kits are curated to help teachers feel valued and supported throughout the program year.
The kits are distributed annually in August and September, with packing events held in July and August. In FY2025, we prepared and delivered 94 kits to eligible child care centers participating in our Center of Excellence program.
This initiative is powered by volunteers and generous sponsors who donate their time, resources, and financial support. Volunteers help pack and prepare kits, while sponsors contribute meaningful items that support teacher wellness, motivation, and classroom success.

Unlike drop-in daycare facilities, our Centers of Excellence are guided by research-based standards and ongoing professional development. These kits help reinforce that commitment to excellence and show our teachers that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.
What is included in a Collab Care Kit?
Each kit contains 15–20 items focused on mental wellness, motivation, classroom organization, and health precautions. Items may include décor, affirmation cards, stress-relief tools, and more.
Who receives the kits?
Kits are distributed to educators and directors at child care centers participating in Collaborative for Children’s Center of Excellence program.
How can I volunteer or sponsor a kit?
You can sign up to volunteer or become a sponsor through our Volunteer Engagement Program. We welcome individuals, businesses, and community groups.
