Institute for Early Learning
Collaborative for Children is dedicated to improving the quality of early care and education for all children in the Greater Houston region. We recognize the extraordinary impact that child care professionals have on the children in their care during the critical years of development from birth to age five. That's why the professional development team of experts at Collaborative for Children is focused on building the skills and capacity of early childhood care providers in our region.
Live Virtual classes
These training sessions are conducted live by an early childhood education expert to provide interaction and informative discussion among participants and the instructor. The classes are currently focused on how to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic as a child care director and educator. See our schedule of classes.
Highly skilled experts in early childhood education conduct quality face-to-face training sessions throughout the year at locations across the 13-county region. Class size is limited, and attendees earn hours toward annual professional development training. See our schedule of group classes.
Written by experts in early childhood development and education, our online classes are convenient, self-paced, and can accommodate busy schedules. Certificates and professional development hours are awarded upon successful completion of the course material and pre and post-tests. The online classes are delivered in partnership with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, an educational agency of the Texas A&M System. View our online course list.
