Collaborative for Children is proud to announce Kimberly Flores as the latest recipient of the Elsie Samuels Early Childhood Educator Excellence Award, a prestigious honor recognizing exceptional early childhood educators in Greater Houston. Kimberly’s dedication to nurturing young minds and her commitment to inclusive, high-quality child care make her a shining example of what early education should be.
Kimberly Flores works with children ages 0–5 at Agape Christian Preschool, a Collaborative for Children Center of Excellence, where she uses certified ECE training and curriculum to support school readiness and lifelong learning. Her classroom is a vibrant space where STEAM activities spark curiosity, and every child is encouraged to explore, create, and grow.
Named after Houston educator Elsie Samuels, the award honors teachers who demonstrate an exemplary commitment to educating diverse populations of young learners. Kimberly joins a distinguished group of past recipients who have transformed child care centers into places of excellence and equity.
