Leslie Gruver is the Chief Financial Officer at Collaborative for Children, where she directs financial strategy, operations, and stewardship to advance the organization’s mission of ensuring access to high-quality early childhood education. She brings over three decades of experience guiding financial operations in both nonprofit and corporate settings, with a proven record of aligning fiscal responsibility with organizational growth.
Before joining Collaborative for Children in 2024, Leslie served as CFO of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, where she strengthened financial operations during a period of economic growth and transition. She also led finance at MapMyFitness, helping scale the company through rapid expansion and its acquisition by Under Armour. Earlier, she worked as a consulting CFO for Maggie Louise Confections and held senior finance roles at Moxie Software and other technology-driven organizations.
Leslie earned her degree from Texas A&M University and has built expertise across a wide range of financial disciplines, including GAAP accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls. Her background spans SaaS, start-ups, nonprofits, and enterprise software, giving her unique insight into managing resources across diverse industries. She is recognized for her strengths in financial project management, strategic planning, revenue recognition, and mergers and acquisitions.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Leslie has been recognized for core skills such as management, finance, process improvement, and business strategy, reflecting her ability to combine analytical rigor with effective executive decision-making. She is especially skilled in building strong systems for transparency, efficiency, and sustainability—qualities that support both mission-driven nonprofits and high-growth private companies.
