Description:

Math is such an important foundation for our children's cognitive growth and is a key predictor of success in school. Participants will learn the progressions of math that help lead students to long term, concrete understanding. Teachers need the ability to create theme-based, hands-on math activities as an essential part of a successful lesson plan. Even when a school has a purchased curriculum, teachers need to supplement the lesson plan to meet the individual classroom's needs. Confidence in the methods and applications will be reinforced by a well-rounded workshop of active participation by the attendees.

Participants should arrive 5-10 minutes before class. No children allowed.

Collaborative for Children is committed to accommodating the needs of all individuals who attend our trainings. If you require any special accommodations, please contact Rubi Rojo at 713-600-1173.
